A specialist in all types of electronic music, Canadian DJ/producer Poirier has had a most atypical career where creativity and eclecticism are the order of the day. A major constant runs through his albums and performances, that of building bridges between different communities, languages and cultures. He composes a music made of encounters that mixes several styles and eras in a relaxed way.

Based in Montreal, he has played in over 30 countries around the world and has participated in major festivals such as BoomTown Festival, Dour Festival, Igloofest, Big Day Out, Montreux Jazz Festival, Garorock, Sonar Festival, Nyege Nyege Festival, Piknic Electronik, Cervantino Festival, Mutek and many others. He is very active in Montreal as evidenced by his monthly dance parties “Qualité de Luxe” dedicated to African and Caribbean music attracting crowds for over eight years, but also his Bounce le Gros and Karnival parties that have marked the Montreal nightlife.

The artist has released eleven albums and numerous EPs with labels such as Wonderwheel Recordings and Ninja Tune in addition to directing an album of remixes of Quebec song legend Robert Charlebois.

Winner at the ADISQ for Producer of the Year with singer Boogat in 2013, Poirier released the album “Migration” in 2016: a deft blend of reggae, electronic music, dancehall and dub. In 2017, he followed that up with an Afro house inspired EP: “Be Alright” featuring a collaboration with Mozambican-Canadian singer Samito on the song “Sowia”. In 2020, he released his 11th album, “Soft Power”, inspired by his stays abroad and his memorable Montreal parties. It includes several vocal collaborations with Flavia Coelho, Samito, Boogat, Mélissa Laveaux, Red Fox. In 2021, Poirier released the EP “Soft Power Remixes” which closes the loop of his album of the same name, followed by the single “Pas de problème”, a summer song in French in collaboration with Funk Lion and “Leader” with singer Angee Wings. New singles are planned for 2022 (with Waahli and Sol Pereira) as well as a new EP.
