Nine years after leaving Ghana for Ontario, Kae Sun came back to draw inspiration from his homeland’s rich musical traditions. While his first opus was a mix of folk, soul and hip-hop, Outside the Barcode is an album that is more acoustic, evoking authenticity and Africa’s spirit of community. Kae Sun shared the stage with K’Naan at the Luminato festival in Toronto last June.
