Description of the concert:

Mayé brings festival-goers to the kabar, a traditional gathering in the Mascarene Islands, filled with music, song and dance. To the sound of the ravane (a tight goatskin drum), the roulèr (a huge drum that percussionists mount) and the kayamb (an idiophonic percussion instrument), Mayé belts out typical malayas and ségas.
