A flower in her hair is a reminder of the tradition of tolerance that her adopted city of San Francisco is known for. In her recent opus, On a day like this, praised by National Geographic and the Huffington Post, the soul-accented sound brings out the Ethiopian roots and the poetry, sometimes dark, sometimes bright but always committed, of this Bohemian artist, a fan of Leonard Cohen.

Biography of the artist:
Born in Ethiopia in the early 1980s, Meklit Hadero grew up in the United States, first in Iowa, then in New York and finally in Florida – a journey in an eclectic and artistically rich setting.
