Zimbabwe
“As long as there are human beings, there will be things that must be talked about, and as long as there are things that must be talked about, there will be things to sing about,” philosophizes the man they call Tuku (the name of the musical style he created, a blend of pop and chimurenga, the traditional music of the Shona people, characterized by the sound of the thumb piano). This social involvement, often expressed metaphorically, is something he has conveyed in the 57 albums he has recorded over the last 37 years. More than a star, his commitment has made him a true model for his people.
