With family branches stretching from the Spanish Basque country to Algeria and Côte d’Ivoire, world music has always been part of Bruno Garcia’s world. The experiments by this seeker of beats led him to bring in Caribbean musical styles, salsa, reggae and the punk spirit, and to create his own style, salsamuffin. A figurehead in the alternative Latino movement, he has sold hundreds of thousands of albums around the world. His latest opus, Una y Otra Vez, explores the diversity of Colombian beats.
