Julien Reiher Umojha is a mythical personality of world music in Montreal. His musical style, méta-kata, is of Afro-Haitian inspiration. Called the “high priest of rhythm” by Le Quotidien newspaper in Chicoutimi, Julien Reiher Umojha, surrounded by a solid group, offers incantations that are an invitation to dance.

Biography of the artist:

Born in Haiti from a healer father and clairvoyant mother, Julien Reiher Umojha is a multidisciplinary artist, who chose a strong symbolic pseudonym, as Umojha means "unity" in Swahili. In 1980, he founded the group Umojha with five friends. He sings love in Creole and French.
