Fully assuming its roots, Vaudou Game records its Afro-funk on analogue equipment to create the magical sound of an era, the 1960s and ’70s in Lomé or Porto-Novo. With its vintage style, highlighting the demystification of Voodoo chant though without falling into clichés, through invigorating harmonies, with “its jubilant James Brown-style shouts, its trance-like brass and its bouncy rhythms” (Télérama, 2014), Vaudou Game will leave nobody indifferent!

Biography of the artist:

At the origin of Vaudou Game stands Peter Solo. Coming from a village near Lomé, the Togolese capital, he grew up in surroundings imbued in local traditions of animism and voodoo.
