Who can apply?

All World Music artists living in Canada are invited to apply.



How to register?

Download and fill out the form here


 

Please, include the following:

  • a portfolio (biography, artist statement, press kit)
  • a demo of 3 songs on a preferred digital format (minimum of 3 songs showcasing different styles)
  • 3 promotional pictures (in high resolution jpeg)

 

Rules


The event is open to all artists and professional groups of world music, living in Canada.

  • Participants of the past edition are allowed to participate again

  • Syli d’Or application is free

  • Artists or groups have to be accompagnied at least by one musician

  • Basic technical equipment (sound, light, backline) is provided by les Productions Nuits d’Afrique and the venues

  • All costs related to transportation or accomodation are the particpant’s responsability

  • Application forms and documents won’t be returned

  • Artist and groups selected will be informed by phone starting from january 10, 2012

  • Artist and groups selected shall respect the agreements signed between Les Productions Nuits d’Afrique and its partners concerning the event

  • All decisions taken during the event will be final.
