Bél & Quinn
Bel & Quinn, two sisters of Haitian origin began to compose songs during teenagehood, when Quinn received her first guitar at the age of 13. However, the last few years have been decisive. In 2011, when illness strikes, music filled all the spaces of uncertainties. From that moment, they threw themselves body and soul into music. They swore never to stop. The jump saved them
Through their music, the two sisters want to bring out the best part of themselves. The only part they trust. They decided to take back their right to speak. They express themselves on the hardness of rejection, abandonment, lack of love, but also to assert themselves as women, black and musicians.
Two voices in perfect harmony accompanied by the captivating and warm sound of Quinn’s guitar, formed at Concordia University with Greg Amirault. They have developed a unique musical universe where they speak jazz and soul. They sing in French, English and Creole. In recent years, they have performed in numerous venues throughout Montreal to share their art: O Patro Vys, Casa Del Popolo, Club Balattou, La Marche d’à Côté, etc.
