Blaise La Bamba
Congolese rumba and soukous are meeting with Blaise La Bamba and his orchestra. Born in Congo – Kinshasa, then still called Zaire, a father pianist and a chorister mother, growing up in a world where African music is booming, Blaise Bamba Muana Manzo was introduced to the piano, guitar and percussion . In 1990 he formed his first group in his neighborhood All-Chic-Gombe. Between 1993 and 1995, Blaise graduated in musical studies at the National Institute of Arts in Kinshasa, and then he joined the group of Congolese stars of the time, General Defao and his “Big Stars”. Thus began a series of international tours. Blaise playing with big names of African music, touring the continent. In 1999, he moved to Montreal, and he took his place within Canada by supporting various live bands. Then, with hundreds of concerts at the counter, Blaise La Bamba went solo, moving forward his tastes and goals. He mixes with talent Congolese rumba and soukous, with a flaming energy.
