De-Od & Tap-Flap
DE-OD, whose real name Woudly, is originally from Haiti. At the age of 5 years old he formed a band with his older brother and plays various traditional Haitian rhythms: the congo, yanvalou, the Nago, the Makaya, voodoo, the rara, petro, etc.. They creates many activities and festivities to unite young people around the Haitian rhythms, mobilizing the youth of the regions. In 2005, he formed the group Woudly Tap-Flap with his brothers and some friends. Meanwhile, he took lessons in piano and voice, enabling him to deepen his musical knowledge. Tap-Flap group made his first demo cd BOUHAHA who seduces by the power of the melody, the relevance of its sensual lyrics and rhythms. Following the success of their first demo, the band performs in a second one, which confirms the style and professionalism of Tap-Flap. The group is currently composed of 6 musicians and attracted a whole new generation open to festive world music rhythms.
