Born in 1975 in a village close to Ouagadougou, Dicko Fils is a Burkinabé singer and N’goni player. 

At the age of 11, he was sent to Mali to pursue his studies in a Koranic school. In this country ruled by mandingo music, he discovers the stunning voices of artists such as Oumou Sangare, Salif Keita or Baaba Maal among others.

Back in Abidjan in 1992 he found refuge in reggae music, and managed to express and share his past experiences through the music. This new found passion led him to dedicate his life to a career in music while giving up his clothing side businesses. From this sacrifice was born his first music group, Le Faso Kanou, as well as a first album in 2005. 

This last project awoke in him a need of returning to his roots, which was Burkina Faso. There, he recomposed his last music formation, using modern instruments (drums or bass) as much as traditional instruments (balafon, djembé, tamani). Together, they published a series of albums in 2007, 2010 and 2012.

Dicko Fils rapidly rises as a widely recognized african musician thanks to his melodic vocals, his remarkable talents of n’goni players and his influences from the Dioula and Peulh ethnicities. 

National media have massively promoted his last album published in 2014 entitled Fina Tawa, fully composed in Fulfulde, the Peulh dialect. Denke Denke was one of the most popular song on the project : it broke all the barriers of the dance world.
