Kompasoul

Biography :

From the outset, we can say that Kompasoul, also known as KS, draws his musical inspiration from the roots of Kompa Direct (Nemours Jean-Baptiste), Caribbean music, Latin, Zouk, R & B, and a mix of Jazz and Gospel. KS was born at the versatile Henri-Bourassa. Originally, the group was called M Soldier, which meant “Soldier of Music”. At the time, it was composed of only three musicians, the twin brothers Young Stevie and Young Kev andJesly, a childhood friend. It is in the framework of the activity “Secondary Schools in Spectacular” that the band is made known. Following the vote of the jury in a musical contest, the group wins the first place. This success was characterized by their passion for music since their youth, this passion slumbered in the hearts of these young talented boys, It was therefore necessary to exploit and share their gift with the public. To do this, seven other musicians are grafted to the trio. Through time, the twin brothers introduce Woods Kerby, James nicknamed Pikasso and Marven. Later, Jesly integrated her cousin Peter, Rock nicknamed Easy, as well as the brothers Valentino (Tino) and Idéfix. Tino stands out with its vocal and captivating power. A voice capable of seducing all hearts. Idéfixlui, draws attention by his captivating and sensual voice. A warm, enveloping voice that leaves no one indifferent. The members of the group all had the same ideology: caring for peace in the troubled neighborhoods of Montreal-North where violence was rife at times. The group evolves, perseveres and continues to practice in order to improve. It was at Studio Midi Max that Charlemagne King, one of the owners of the studio, took the group under his wing by becoming their manager. Following this addition and restructuring, Kompasoul will be displayed as the official name of the group. The shows are multiplying and at the same time the project of launching their first album is concretized. It is worth mentioning Peter, the youngest of the musicians, rightly considered a true prodigy, will perform many musical arrangements thanks to his creativity and his musical verve. We can not ignore either the colossal work of the singers Tino and Idéfix, these frangins realize the writing of the lyrics of the album. Their music is very diverse and open to all styles, so they decide to name their album “No Rules”. Thanks to the skill of all musicians, Kompasoul creates a music capable of making us travel to another universe. Music that touches all music lovers
