LAMORSURE or Jean Franklin Nkomo Nkili is an original rapper artist
Cameroonian, but established in Montreal for a few years. The rapper
comes from a family where music is very present and it’s from a young age
age that he develops a passion. At the age of 8, he accompanies
already his uncle (Bouder) during his rehearsal sessions with the rapper
Frenchman Mc Solar (who at the time lived in Cameroon). It’s at that moment
that he is interested in hip hop culture, despite the refusal of his parents for the
practice of this art.
It was in the 2000s that the artist made his first appearances on
scenes including participating in several local events. Later,
Franklin leaves his country for France. He stays there a few years before
permanently drop off suitcases in Canada, specifically in Montreal.
He is quickly noticed by the talent that lives in him, he connects
collaborations and several shows across Canada.
LAMORSURE will thus make the first of several big sizes of
music, even without having an album to his credit. Despite its success
growing up, it’s in 2015 that the rapper learns that he has cancer
nodes. After 11 months of intense chemotherapy away from his family,
the disease does not stop him and he continues to perform until his remission
LAMORSURE is currently preparing his first musical project where he
shares his experiences, ambitions, visions and his joie de vivre. The
different sounds of the project are mainly influenced by the
cultures that he rubbed shoulders with and the one he is experiencing today in Montreal.
