Montreal-based Regeneration seeks to create Roots Reggae with a grounding sound and uplifting lyrics to spread positive vibrations at every level. For its first releases, Regeneration reached out to Wailers drummer and Reggae heir Aston Barrett Jr, son of Bob Marley bassist Family Man Barrett, to build a solid rhythmic base. On vocals, the band also collaborated with foundation artist Vernon Maytone and up and coming Brazilian singer Rafael Cardoso. Songs are written in English or French with no preference, letting the inspiration of the moment dictate. The first EP is mostly in French, while the next release will be in English.
