Blues night / Touareg Rock with Aboubacar Mazawadje

Vibrant musical evening, with warm African sounds. You will discover the moving music of the young prodigy Aboubacar Mazawadjé!

Born in Niger in 1994, Aboubacar grew up in the village of Iferouane, which hosts the most important Touareg music festival. It is in the hypnotic atmosphere of this village, nestled at the foot of the Tamgak Mountains and surrounded by herds of ostriches and camels, that Aboubacar learns music. He sings and plays several instruments typical of Tuareg music, known internationally as the “Desert Blues” and sung by Berber nomads from the Central Sahara. He handles guitar and drums perfectly, enough to be spotted by the Touareg singer Omara “Bombino” Moctar. He was only 13 years old when he toured Africa with his mentor, before joining Mdou Moctar, master of trance and desert rock, on an international tour.
