A double bill on this Afro-blues-themed evening, dominated by the uplifting voices of the two artists who will be taking turns on stage.

First comes Joyce N’Sana. This singer-songwriter, a true stage animal inspired by Ivorian singer Dobet Gnahoré, combines reggae, gospel, hip-hop, jazz and Afro-blues in what she calls her Afrobluehop, an explosive cocktail that has earned several awards, including Radio-Canada World Music Revelation in 2021.

Then comes Daby Touré. Through his warm, gentle folk music, as rebellious as the desert wind, he takes a globe-trotter’s look at West African musical traditions, tinting them with blues, jazz, pop, reggae, funk and soul, influenced by his work with Peter Gabriel, Souad Massi, Maxime Le Forestier and, closer to us, Poirier.
