Dialogues Entre Kora : Diely Mori Tounkara & Sadio Sissokho

Dialogues between Kora will feature two great instrumentalists, two talented griots, one from Senegal, the other from Mali, a bright evening where you just have to let yourself go.

Diely Mori Tounkara (Mali, Qc)
It seems that from birth, Diely Mori had no choice but to become a musician, a great musician. The fairies had decided so. Indeed, son of a kora master and brother of a gifted guitarist, the path seemed clear. A great specialist in Mandingo music from West Africa, who brought his kora, with his arrival in Montreal, to a crossbreeding drawing on Afro-Brazilian, jazz and Latin influences while keeping it preciously at the heart of his project.

Sadio Sissokho (Senegal, Qc)
The kora player Sadio Cissokho is the descendant of a large family of Manding griots from Senegal, the Bannaya family. With the Okavango African Orchestra, he won a Juno Award in 2017 for the best world music album, a versatile artist, he is a master of the kora, but also plays sabar, dundun, djembé, tama and he plays in many bands, not only as a percussionist but also as a singer.
