It is with great enthusiasm that the Festival international Nuits d’Afrique, presented by the TD Bank Group, offers you Live on his website, this Sunday, October 10 at 11 a.m., the first musical journey in its Live from Montreal’s African Nights series. With Mateo (Colombia) and Wesli (Haiti), world music fans will be able to see and hear performances by these artists from Montreal’s World scene for free.

The Festival will put online a sequence of the best moments of these two concerts. These were exceptionally captured live from the Club Balattou with an audience, since they were presented before October 1st, before the directives of the Public Health Department.

First part – Mateo
Les Révélations Series, presented by ICI Musique
Opening the show, Mateo, Révélation Radio-Canada en musique du monde 2020-2021, will present, among other things, his debut album Vengo de Frente, released last February. This concert will thrill you with Latin music in an unexpected, electric and progressive concoction.

Second part – Wesli
Les Étoiles Nuits d’Afrique Series, presented by CHOQ.ca
The second part will offer you Wesli’s rhythmic and cheerful performance. Winner of the 2019 Juno and Felix awards for best world music album for Rapadou kreyòl. The guitarist draws on voodoo rhythms and songs and adds modern sounds.
