Here we have the sparkling Fatoumata Diawara again, for a second time among us in Montreal! A feminist artist, an activist with a voice as sensual as it is committed, for whom the Wassoulou musical tradition blends poetry with jazz, blues, pop and some subtle electronic touches. She will present us a show that matches her talent and international reputation.

Fatoumata’s latest album, Fenfo, is nominated for a Grammy Award. It is a collection of new, lively and original compositions inspired by the rich musical experiences and adventures she has had in recent years. Bold, experimental and respectful of her Malian roots, she proudly passes on her heritage to us.
