KING SHADROCK

Faithful to his cultural and musical roots, King Shadrock is one of Canada’s leading reggae artists. King Shadrock’s upbringing and youth, which took place in the rough neighborhoods of Montego Bay, Jamaica, are still a great source of inspiration for the artist.As a youngster, he used to sneak out to sound systems. Music has indeed always been an important part of his life.

The musical journey of this young artist really started with several dates around the world. From Africa to the Indian Ocean, through the Caribbean and North America, Shadrock has never ceased to impress the crowds.

Notably through his album Ginga, produced by Makoka Productions, the artist has evolved and adopted a style of his own. His variety of flow and his atypical voice have nothing to envy to some of the greatest Jamaican artists of today.

This year, King releases a new album entitled Phoenix Rising, a musical treat for reggae fans to sink their teeth into. The accompanying music is dense and well suited to King Shadrock’s earthy voice and captivating style.
