For this Urban Africa Night, Productions Nuits d’Afrique brought together the Guinean group Degg J Force 3 and Afrikana Soul Sisters for an exceptional evening.

Afrikana Soul Sister fuses the distinct sound production of Jean-François Lemieux with the untamed percussions works of Joannie Labelle and Fa Cissokho as well as Djely Tapa‘s voice. This quartet delivers a refresh organic-electro-afro-house sound where polychrome ambiances are artfully welded together on laptop with authentic African musical roots.

Degg J Force 3, emblematic figure of African hip hop, is at the top of the Guinean urban scene. The M’Baye brothers sing a committed hip hop song like their title, Falé, which warns young people against dangerous illegal immigration on boats of fortune, a song that earned them an invitation to perform at the World Bank in Washington.
