This artist from Kinshasa is absolutely brimming with talent! In his 2021 music video “Nioso Panma,” Jérémie Langi bathed us in dazzling fall colours. Immersed in his adopted city of Montreal, the seductive singer is also defined by a fondness for musical composition and dance that is 100% Congolese so, make room for this festive rumba and ndombolo performer.

From an early age, Jérémie stood out among his peers. He was always remarkably expressive, whether in the school yard or the local choir. From contest to contest, he began to attract increasing public interest. By 2014, he was wowing audiences with his unique take on Congolese classics, joyful hymns that would make people smile and feel warm inside. His personal qualities are just as evident when he performs on stage. Myster Jay is always able to fire up the crowd and get it dancing.

Now living in Montreal, this fabulous artist has stood shoulder to shoulder with the great artists who inspire him, such as Koffi Olomidé and the late Papa Wemba. Everyone wants to hear him at parties and weddings. His hit single “Danse à bord,” released in 2021, was further proof of his mastery of “bouger bouger” … a call to move, shake, and dance. Last year, Club Balattou welcomed this phenomenal artist to its stage and now, in 2025, Festival International Nuits d’Afrique will give him the key to the Quartier des Spectacles.
