Boukary, originally from the town of Oumé in Ivory Coast and a member of the Gagou ethnic group, is a renowned comedian on the French-speaking African scene. He began his career as a comedian in 1996 with a role in the program “Dimanche Passion” on RTI. His artistic career really took off in 2004, and since then he has established himself as a major comedy figure in French-speaking Africa. He has won several prestigious awards, including the title of best comedian in French-speaking Africa at the Abidjan Capitale du Rire Festival in 2016 and 2021, and a pan-African award in 2020. His shows combine subtle humor and social commentary. Always on the move, he is an ambassador for both the arts and comedy of his region.

Deperpignan (Fulbert Kouassi Yoman)

Deperpignan, whose real name is Fulbert Kouassi Yoman, is an Ivorian comedian born in Brouko, near Dimbokro. He began his career in 2012 and quickly established himself as a leading figure in Ivorian comedy thanks to his style, which combines social satire and criticism of deviant behavior, particularly within churches. A multi-talented artist, he has also appeared in several famous Ivorian television series and films, such as “Docteur Boris” and “Ma grande famille.” Since 2015, he has been a regular radio and television commentator. In 2022, he received the award for best stage comedian at the Grand Prix Ivoire and was voted comedian revelation of the year at the Awards du Rire in Niamey. His humor is inspired by his culture and life experiences, which resonate with a wide Ivorian and African audience.
