Ségui Sô, the second album by Donald Dogbo — Radio-Canada’s 2024 Jazz Revelation — invites us on a profound musical journey. Donald Dogbo, artist-musician-drummer from the Ivory Coast, fuses traditional African rhythms with the energy of modern jazz to create a vibrant and innovative musical signature. Based in Montreal since 2014, he has quickly established himself on the local scene, captivating audiences with performances that combine percussion, ngomas, drums, saxophone, bass and piano. His debut album “Coubli” (2021) seduces with its rhythmic finesse and ability to bridge cultures. In 2024, he was named Révélation Jazz de Radio-Canada. He is currently preparing his second album, ‘Ségui Sô’, to be released in October 2025. After a successful tour with the Conseil des arts de Montréal, he continues to rock the Montreal stage and aspires to expand his musical influence in Quebec and beyond.
