Jilala Transe is a musical ensemble that brings the legacy of Moroccan spiritual and folk music to life in Canada. The group consists of two former members of the legendary Jil Jilala, who have chosen to continue their artistic journey by sharing this musical heritage beyond Morocco’s borders.

Inspired by the iconic works of Jil Jilala and Nass El Ghiwane, Jilala Transe reimagines the timeless classics that have shaped several generations while infusing them with contemporary energy. Through powerful vocals, hypnotic rhythms, and traditional sounds, the group invites the audience on a journey through memory, spirituality, and celebration.

Their repertoire draws on Morocco’s musical traditions, particularly Sufi, folk, and ancestral influences, where lyrics imbued with wisdom, poetry, and reflection blend with infectious rhythms. Each performance becomes an immersive experience, fostering dialogue between cultures and bringing generations together.
