KALLISTO

Kallisto is a Montreal-based progressive rock quintet led by composer and clarinetist Jossée MacInnis. Inspired by klezmer and Turkish Anatolian psychedelic rock, the band transforms these modal languages into original compositions that blend amplified textures, fully composed structures, and psychedelic intensity. With the clarinet serving as the lead voice within an electric ensemble, Kallisto develops a unique sound at the intersection of progressive rock, musical systems rooted in folk traditions, and experimental music. In 2026, the band released its second album, *Chameleon*, which received coverage from Radio-Canada, Montreal Rocks, and Pan M 360, among others.
