MARZOS & MATEO | Salsa (Latin America)

MARZOS is a group passionate about salsa and Latin American music, formed in 2019. Blending classic salsa with traditional Latin rhythms, the band adds a modern and energetic touch to each performance. Composed of experienced musicians, MARZOS regularly performs at concerts and festivals, while also organizing events and workshops to share their passion. Since March 2024, MARZOS has been collaborating with MATEO, an innovative Colombian artist who blends AfroBeat, alternative rock, electro, and Afro-Colombian sounds. Together, they offer a vibrant concert featuring original compositions and salsa brava classics, celebrating their Latin American heritage.

Kozé | Maloya (Reunion Island)

Born from a desire to introduce maloya to the world of Quebec and, more broadly, to Canada, the band Kozé was formed by passionate lovers of this music. Maloya is a transcendental music of connection and sharing, and this is what the band Kozé seeks to convey. Kozé means “to speak” or “to communicate” in Réunion Creole, and through its lyrics and songs, the band shares its message and values. Maloya is not just any music; it combines percussion and song, a beautiful way to make the voices that form its choir resonate with drums and other instruments from Réunion Island, such as the roulèr, kayamb, and sati. Raíz Viva | Cumbia autochtone (Colombia)

Founded in 2023, Raíz Viva is a group that celebrates the fusion of Afro-Colombian music and culture with Quebec’s Québécois, Canadian, and Latin American communities. Their mission is to create spaces for expression and raise awareness about the realities of Latin America. By blending Afro-Colombian rhythms—an amalgamation of African drums, indigenous Latin American instruments, and European influences—the band offers vibrant music that echoes this rich diversity. The name “Raíz Viva” (Living Root) reflects their desire to reconnect with ancestral roots while evolving musical traditions. Based in Canada, a multicultural country, the group is inspired by encounters with various musical styles, further enriching their creations. Their debut album features rhythms from the Colombian Atlantic coast, including a reinterpretation of the Brazilian song Magalenha, fused with Chalupa, a rhythm from the Atlantic coast
