Rickson Makwe

Rickson Makwe | Rumba, Reggae, Funk (DRC)

Rickson Makwe is a singer, songwriter, and keyboardist from the Democratic Republic of Congo whose life journey is a deep source of inspiration. Having lost his sight at the age of ten, he transformed this challenge into a driving force for creativity and resilience. After settling first in South Africa, he developed his career by taking part in various festivals and musical projects, shaping a style infused with pop, reggae, funk, and Congolese rumba. He later continued his path in Canada, where he keeps sharing music fueled by passion, faith, and humanity.

Fil

Fil | Música popular brasileira (MPB) (Brazil)

Fil (Filipe Bezerra) is a Montreal-based singer-songwriter of Brazilian origin, shaped by the cultural blend of Brazil’s Nordeste and Sudeste regions. His music weaves tropical rhythms and Brazilian emotion into a universal, urban approach, with lyrics in Portuguese, French, and English. Between samba, manguebeat, bossa nova, rock, jazz, and R&B, Fil forges a warm, contemporary signature that reflects his hybrid identity. An emerging artist on the Montreal scene, he is preparing the release of his debut EP Na Beira (February 2026), recorded in collaboration with Diogo Ramos and Rodrigo Fonseca, affirming his poetic and socially engaged view of the world.
