About
Kissima Diabaté is a multidisciplinary Senegalese artist, percussionist, singer, dancer, songwriter and griot.
With decades of experience, including nine years with the National Ballet of Senegal, he has brought the musical and choreographic traditions of Senegal and Mali to international audiences.
Founder and director of several ensembles, including Nanou Jappo, Keur Sénégal, Jam Ak Jam and Groupe Kiss, he has also released several albums, including Jam Ak Jam. A passionate artist and educator, he shares his knowledge with younger generations, helping preserve and keep Africa’s rich musical heritage alive.
