BIOGRAPHIE

Not yet familiar with “’Delight for Old Chicken”? The “finger lickin’ good’ French duo behind this internet sensation is truly one of a kind. L’Entourloop is composed of King James and Sir Johnny, two DJs whose playful spirit is part of their shared musical DNA. These beat-crazy “grain-fed” young men are big fans of hip-hop, dub and reggae, which is clear by the toe-tapping, hip-shaking, palm-waving trances they are able to induce in listeners through the sound-system experience.

They know all about a return to consciousness, especially after the periods of confinement during the global pandemic! In 2022, following the crisis, L’Entourloop collective provided the world with an invigorating tonic: 20 tracks perfectly orchestrated to resurrect the human spirit. The duo’s third album, La clarté dans la confusion, is the slowly ripened fruit of a production with touches of ear-popping detail. Between clips of cult films and turntable scratching effects, dance takes hold of the senses—a clear vital sign.

With a crazy shared passion for reggae and vinyl records, ground zero for the sound system scene, their inspiration initially came from the classic 1964 hit “My Boy Lollipop.” King James and Sir Johnny are party buddies. Dressed as supercool dandies, their bow ties and unique style set them apart from their DJ compatriots. They follow in the footsteps of legendary sound system artists such as Lee “Scratch” Perry (1936-2021), Prince Buster (1938-2016) and Count Machuki (1929-1995). The sensational L’Entourloop has been hypnotizing fans around the globe and invited to perform on no less than 300 stages worldwide. Drop everything and answer the call of these unrivalled “Seniors of the dub resistance,” whom Panda Dub, Marina P, Kill Emil and Demolition Man also couldn’t resist…
