AFROVIBES

Founded in the autumn of 2014 by visionary Haitian percussionist Emmanuel Delly, Afrovibes is a pioneering band introducing Afrobeat sounds to the Quebec City music scene. Inspired by the deep roots of Afrobeat, notably of its creator Fela Anikulapo Kuti, the group deftly fuses Afrobeat rhythms with those of Haitian voodoo, Martinican bel-air, Latin American traditions and the Comoros Islands. Afrovibes’ musical eclecticism is the fruit of the cultural diversity of its members, a unique fusion that creates atmospheres ranging from soul to rock and jazz. In addition to covers and arrangements faithful to the Afrobeat style, the group also offers original compositions, providing a rich and diverse musical experience.

The legendary Club Balattou, and all its team, is happy to welcome you, with the “Cabaret acoustique Nuits d’Afrique”.
It is a whole program that awaits you, especially concocted for the public! You will be able to enjoy live performances every week, from Thursday to Sunday, at 9pm. A musical rendez-vous, which makes you travel through Africa, the Caribbean and Latin America, not to be missed !
