20:00 · Taigenz · Cameroon
Montréal hip-hop artist Taigenz bridges his Cameroonian heritage and the North American urban landscape, moving fluidly between trap, R&B and Afrobeat.
His 2019 album “Life Ain’t Free” found international success, with singles passing 100,000 streams. In 2021 he won best hip-hop song at the Indie Grind Music Awards for “Foolish Money”. His latest EP, “Life A Life”, features the hit “Pas Idée”, which has appeared on SiriusXM playlists.

20:45 · Joyce N’Sana · Congo
Congolese-Quebecer Joyce N’Sana is the voice of “Afrobluehop”, a vibrant fusion of afro-blues, hip-hop and reggae rooted in her Congolese heritage.
Her voice moves between whispered softness and raw power, carrying lyrics in French, English, Lari and Lingala that celebrate freedom, justice and hope. Her first EP (2016) held the top spot on Earshot’s world music chart in Canada all summer and was named world music album of the year by CJLO. She also appeared on La Voix in 2017.

21:30 · Wesli · Haiti
Wesli built his first guitar at the age of eight, stretching a fishing line over an old oil can.
A singer-songwriter and guitarist born in Port-au-Prince and based in Montréal since 2001, he became one of Haiti’s most prolific musical ambassadors, releasing albums from “Kouraj” (2009) to “Tradisyon” (2022) and touring the world. Winner of the Babel Med Music Award in Marseille in 2010, he received the 2019 JUNO Award for World Music Album of the Year for “Rapadou Kreyol”.

22:15 · Lydol · Cameroon
Slam poet, singer, performer and “artivist”, Lydol stands out as one of the most singular voices in contemporary music.
Drawing on African oral traditions, spoken word, theatre and dance, she creates a hybrid, deeply emotional stage language. The first slam poet to reach the final of the RFI Prix Découvertes, she has released the albums “Slamthérapie” and “Hybride” and the EPs “Fragile” and “Elixir”. A resident artist at the Cité internationale des arts in Paris and the McCord Museum in Montréal, she was also selected by the U.S. State Department for the Mandela Washington Fellowship.
