FORRÓ DAS COMADRES

Forró das Comadres is a cultural project founded by Brazilian singer Silvinha to promote forró beyond Brazil’s borders, celebrating its infectious rhythms and dances from the Northeast. Forró is built on an iconic instrumental trio—accordion, zabumba, and triangle—and embodies a living tradition where popular energy meets the emotion of regional festivities.

The project’s name pays tribute to the song “Forró das Comadres” by composer João Silva, a symbol of feminine strength, tradition, and the identity of the Northeast. Faithful to this spirit, the project places women at the heart of its mission and, for its first edition, welcomes singer and multi-instrumentalist Lara Klaus and singer Julia Pessoa, both from the state of Pernambuco, just like its founder.

CABARET ACOUSTIQUE NUITS D’AFRIQUE – at the Club Balattou

The legendary Club Balattou, and all its team, is happy to welcome you, with the “Cabaret acoustique Nuits d’Afrique”.
It is a whole program that awaits you, especially concocted for the public! You will be able to enjoy live performances every week, from Thursday to Sunday, at 9pm. A musical rendez-vous, which makes you travel through Africa, the Caribbean and Latin America, not to be missed !
