KON FUSION

Kon-Fusion, winner of the 2019 Syli d’Or award, is a project that began in 2012 as a creative music workshop led by three people of Chilean origin, two of whom are current members of the group. Since 2014, the project has taken shape by developing its own style and incorporating other musicians. The richness of this anarcho-cumbia-punk group lies in its variety of styles and influences, all while maintaining a strong and unique identity.

Blending indigenous and Western rhythms and mixing South American instruments with more common ones, Kon-Fusion gets us moving to the beats of cumbia, reggae, ska, funk, rumba, and rock—all in their own unique way! The lyrics, mostly in Spanish but also in French, offer a worldview that is both open-minded and critical. Their third album, Arriba de Su Muro, released in June 2026, presents a rebellious carnival of cumbia, ska, and Andean rhythms.
