KOUADJO MARIE-ROSE ET LE DJIDJI BAND

Originally from Côte d’Ivoire, Marie-Rose Kouadjo is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist (piano, djembe) whose powerful and soulful voice transcends borders. Her music naturally blends African rhythms with jazz, soul, and world sounds. Trained with the University of Abidjan Orchestra and later with the RTI Orchestra, she quickly distinguished herself through her stage presence and authenticity. After moving to Canada, she continued to rise on various stages across Montréal. Upon returning to Abidjan, she recorded her debut album Avant Avant (2017) and founded the trio Koro Ni Koura, skillfully merging African traditions with contemporary influences. With more than twenty years of experience and her acclaimed single “Naza”, Marie-Rose Kouadjo stands today as an emerging voice in Afro-fusion and contemporary world music, offering audiences a vibrant journey filled with emotion, energy, and universality.
