NESRAF

Nesraf is a progressive chaabi group founded in 2015 by musicians who are passionate about and deeply attached to Algerian culture. Its name, derived from the Arabic word ‘Nesraf’ meaning ‘departure’, evokes both the rhythmic movement of chaabi and Andalusian music, as well as a metaphor for exile and cultural transmission. Inspired by the legacy of chaabi master El Hadj M’Hamed El Anka, the group continues the tradition of this popular music born in the streets, cafés and ceremonies of Algeria. Singing in Algerian Arabic and Kabyle, Nesraf revisits the great classics of chaabi, infusing them with a contemporary and mixed-race touch. Through modern and sensitive arrangements, Nesraf offers an intense and warm musical experience that celebrates the richness and vitality of Algerian heritage.

CABARET ACOUSTIQUE NUITS D’AFRIQUE – at the Club Balattou

The legendary Club Balattou, and all its team, is happy to welcome you, with the “Cabaret acoustique Nuits d’Afrique”.
It is a whole program that awaits you, especially concocted for the public! You will be able to enjoy live performances every week, from Thursday to Sunday, at 9pm. A musical rendez-vous, which makes you travel through Africa, the Caribbean and Latin America, not to be missed !
