NICO BEKI

A Belgian-Brazilian singer originally from São Paulo, Nico Beki formed the group Ultima Horam with Brazilian and Quebecois friends – one of the first Brazilian popular music groups in Quebec! The group has performed at a host of international festivals, including the Montreal International Jazz Festival.

In 1998, she recorded with Quebec’s first forró band, Forrotimo, and they made a name for themselves at the Lions D’Or, where Radio-Canada invited them to record a concert that was broadcast across the country! 

Together with her friend Paulo Ramos, she created the famous Dimanches Brésilien at Les Bobards bar in 1998, which delighted Montreal audiences for almost 20 years!
