QUIMBASOUL

QuimbaSoul is a Montreal-based band founded in early 2024, offering a fusion of traditional Colombian music—particularly from the Caribbean and Pacific coasts—with North American jazz, funk, and rock.

Its director, Toto de la Ossa, originally from Colombia’s Caribbean coast and a passionate advocate for traditional music, also completed a master’s degree in jazz performance during his time in Canada. It is precisely these two influences that inspired him to create this project.

The encounter between Afro-Colombian rhythms—imbued with their ancestral magic—the aggressiveness of rock guitar, and jazz-inspired harmonic colors gives birth to the unique and original sound of QuimbaSoul.

CABARET ACOUSTIQUE NUITS D’AFRIQUE – at the Club Balattou

The legendary Club Balattou, and all its team, is happy to welcome you, with the “Cabaret acoustique Nuits d’Afrique”.
It is a whole program that awaits you, especially concocted for the public! You will be able to enjoy live performances every week, from Thursday to Sunday, at 9pm. A musical rendez-vous, which makes you travel through Africa, the Caribbean and Latin America, not to be missed !
