SALAMATE GNAWA invite JILALA TRANSE

Founded in 2012, the group Salamate Gnawa was established by Rachid Salamate in Montreal with the aim of preserving and promoting Gnaoua music beyond Morocco’s borders. The group brings together talented young musicians who perform regularly on various stages across Canada. Inspired by the ancestral traditions of the Gnaouas of West Africa, the group’s music blends sacred chants, percussion rhythms, and traditional instruments such as the guembri and qraqebs. For the very first time, Salamate Gnawa will be joined by Jilala Transe, from the internationally successful Moroccan group Jil Jilala, for a unique performance at Balattou!

The legendary Club Balattou, and all its team, is happy to welcome you, with the “Cabaret acoustique Nuits d’Afrique”.
