Born from improvised jam sessions during the pandemic on the island of Montreal, Less Toches is an explosive musical collision—a true big bang of cumbia that’s both refreshing and unexpected. Carried by the timeless magic of Latin American peasant troubadours, the band infuses its music with poetic, mystical, and playful energy. Its name comes from a tropical bird, the toche, whose harmonious song reminds us that borders do not exist. Blending humor and trance, Less Toches channels a spirit rooted in the banks of cumbia and accordion traditions. Their Colombian, Mexican, and Argentine origins intertwine to revive the traditions that marked their childhood through the rhythms of folklore. A true continental cumbia from Montreal!
