Wess Beaudry | Kompa, Reggae, Afrobeat (Haiti)
Wess Beaudry is a Haitian artist based in Montreal who embodies the new generation of modern compas, blending his Haitian roots with Afro, trap and urban pop influences. A drummer, singer and songwriter, he offers a universe that is both festive and melancholic, driven by the slogan “100% pleasure” and a stage energy that turns every concert into a unique experience. Born in Haiti, he first made his mark as a drummer with the bands K-ZINO (2012–2016) and then MAESTRO by T-Ansyto Mercier (2016–2022), before moving to Montreal in 2023 to pursue his career. Drummer of Baz Konpa and Jean Jean Roosevelt, his work includes several tracks available online, such as “Manmanw manke m”, “Klike sou bb w”, “Gadon w zo” and “Gratitude”, as well as notable collaborations like “Siksè Pam” (JL feat. Wess Beaudry) and “One Night Stand” (M@ssive & Dreysoul feat. Wess Beaudry).

Farzad Milani et Ami.e.s | Persian Microtonal Fusion (Iran)
Farzad Milani et Ami.e.s is a Montreal-based ensemble led by composer, accordionist, and singer Farzad Milani. Rooted in Persian and broader Middle Eastern modal traditions, the project offers a bold fusion of microtonal systems, Western harmonic thinking, jazz-inspired improvisation, and contemporary rhythmic language. Drawing from Iranian folk repertoires and those of neighboring cultures, the music reimagines this shared heritage through a modern, intercultural lens. Centered on Milani’s microtonal accordion and Persian-tuned piano, the ensemble brings together outstanding musicians to create an immersive sound world where modal improvisation, rhythmic creativity, and a contemporary aesthetic intersect. Together, they present Canadian audiences with a refined and innovative vision of Middle Eastern music, building a vibrant bridge between ancestral traditions and today’s musical explorations.
