AZARA is a unique quintet offering a flamenco rumba infused with timba and jazz. Since its founding in Montreal in 2017, the ensemble has performed a variety of concerts, including the 2020 Canada Latin Awards gala and the 2022 MUZ
Showcase. The release of its first album is planned for 2026\.
The ensemble includes singer and composer Fernando Gallego “El Bancalero,” pianist, composer, and arranger Gabriel Evangelista, guitarist Quique Tasta, percussionist Hanser Santos, and bassist Juan Pablo Montoya.
