Forró das Comadres is a musical project celebrating the strength and connection of female voices in forró. This edition brings together Brazilian artists Silvinha and Flávia Nascimento, whose journeys complement each other naturally.

Originally from Pernambuco, Silvinha began her career at 16 in musical theatre before stepping into forró at 18, performing alongside major names such as Santanna, o Cantador. After a break from singing following her move to Canada, she returns to the stage with a vision: to create a project that brings together female voices she had long admired in the local scene.

Alongside her, Flávia Nascimento is a Brazil-born artist based in Quebec with a multidisciplinary background in theatre, circus, and music. Trained in theatre in Belo Horizonte, she has built a strong presence in Quebec’s cultural scene with her vibrant performances rooted in Brazilian musical traditions. A recipient of the Stingray Rising Stars Award at Mundial Montréal, she has performed in festivals across Canada and internationally.

Together, they deliver a vibrant, authentic, and festive show rooted in the traditions of forró, driven by a strong and contemporary feminine energy.
