Estuaire (2026) is the third album that Kiya Tabassian, artistic director of the ensemble Constantinople, and Senegalese griot Ablaye Cissoko have released together, after Jardins migrateurs (2015) and Traversées (2019). Sufi and griot traditions intermingle, like the fresh and salt water of an estuary, “symbolizing transition, renewal, and fertility,” (Le Monde, 2026). Theirs is a sublime dialogue between the setar and the Mandinka kora, where each note invites reflection and stirs the emotions.
