It’s all about the “whine” and a thundering dancehall vibe for this Jamaican-born artist with Martinique connections, who has forged his own shatta community. If he could compete in the ring against Sean Paul and Busy Signal, all bets would be off for him to win in just one round, he’s that big! A visit to his YouTube channel shows the extent of his success; he has over 200 videos and 385K subscribers, not to mention the 2.5 million listeners monthly and 250 million streams on Spotify. There is no doubt as to his star status!

Bursting with energy like an ultra-upbeat guru, Blaiz Fayah has been cultivating his sound for years. In 2018, the devoted dancehall artist opened the floodgates with “Best Gyal,” detonator of the album Level Up. Cutting-edge arrangements from top to toe! An invitation to drop everything and join your friends to enjoy the sound of the bass, accompanied by the popping corks of bubbly, that’s the Fayah way.

Master of mixes and collaborations, he carries within his soul his early rap influences like Wu Tang Clan, Bouba and Ärsenik. As for his Jamaican riddim, his allegiances are many. Although he embraces a wide range of styles, it’s dancehall that defines the man who launched Mad Ting Records. On his latest hits, with the shatta groove—a derivative of dancehall that originated in Martinique following the 2010s—front and centre, Blaiz Fayah shows his brilliance in spades. From just doing his thing on the idyllic island with some of the coolest beatmakers like DJ Glad, Gyzmo and others, the artist is now heading for orbit, propelled at 200 km/h by his latest album, Shatta Ting. It’s being snapped up across the globe, including in Europe, the Americas, from the West Indies to the Caribbean, and in East Africa. Before wrapping up his world tour at the Olympia in Paris at the end of January 2026, he’ll be coming to the heart of Montreal’s entertainment district, the Quartier des Spectacles, to delight fans with his electrifying performance (and some seriously impressive moves)!
