Lord Ted Mabika, Kumbu-Ki-Lutete called “Mabika-Ki” is an author, composer and performer. Mabika-Ki’s unique soundscape was built during his many travels around the world such as Switzerland, Rennes, Kinshasa, Brazil and Montreal. Matured by years of fermentation, he has reached a new level of inspiration in his first work. His upcoming E.P Negresses Roses produced by Samito under Fezihaus is a raw but honest album where Ndombolo, Jazz, R&B, UK Garage-Step, Nujazz, Trap in French, English and Lingala are mixed. There are also elements of NuJazz, 90s Rnb, 90s HipHop, Soul and Soulful house, Deep House, UKGarage and Electronica in his compositions.
In 2016 he participated in the release of the track “Cem Cem (feat. Samito & Muneshine)” on the French label Kitsune. In 2017 he participated in the track “I SAW YOU” remixed by Daniel Haaksman from Berlin under MAN RECORDINGS or Mabika-ki sings in Lingala, a common language in the Congo region.
