More cumbia, por favor! Absolutely! Get ready for not one but three evenings of cumbia at Club Balattou… What else could we do? Less Toches’s appeal is such that it needs the maximum space possible at Festival International Nuits d’Afrique. Ever since their big win at the Syli d’Or 2024, the band’s music, created by five dynamic and zany musicians, has travelled the sound waves as far as Bogota. Encore! Encore! 

Although the band’s name implies “clumsy,” this Quebec-Latino quintet is anything but! With them, you can always expect great cumbia along with a good dose of humour. On stage, the five guys give their all, with no safety net. They’re like a UFO zooming around the stratosphere, powered by Latin rhythms. To the sound of the accordion, these jovial musicians demonstrate their mastery of their Colombian influences, with a poetry all their own. 

Paying tribute to rural life and to their origins, each musician looks to his roots. And fans have a chance to travel further still with Less Toches, on a dizzying journey into the traditional lands of Cuba, Mexico, Argentina… muy caliente! A turn to the right, then to the left, some bobbing up and down, every limb and muscle comes alive to their music. Are you ready to discover the flavour of continental cumbia right here in Montreal?
