This is one Afro-Canadian singer-songwriter who isn’t afraid of anything, always ready to face the headwinds straight on! Already known under the name, Mugisho Munganga, his voice embraces the new Afro sound that is gaining ground… Overflowing with creativity, he has been singing since the age of 15; and he isn’t interested in just doing Afropop, R&B, reggae and pop tunes, he mixes and kneads them into new forms, like R&Fro and Popfro! This tendency towards fusion is somewhat of a Congolese tradition, which Aeli-G proudly showed off on stage in Saskatoon in 2016. His philosophy: be a musical all-rounder and send a shockwave through the audience. A born musician, this young artist strives for universality. He’s quite the charmer as well and comes across as a kind of postmodern “dandy” on his videos. His single “TE TE,” released last year, definitely reveals him to be a romantic.
